Red Nose day
We had great fun decorating some red nose day cakes and raised £61 on the day.
After working with us for over 14 years, it was sad to say goodbye to Lesley who has left us to spend more time with her husband, and move to pastures new.
Lesley has alwyas been a very popular member of staff, with all of the children, parents and staff and she will be sadly missed.
We have had a lovely start to our autumn term, welcoming the new families who have joined us this September. We are happy to accept any applications for a September 2021 start, if you would like to put your child on our waiting list please complete our 'Registering an interest' form on our parents' page.
We are pleased to have been selected by NHS England to participate in a pilot supervised tooth brushing programme. The programme will initially run for two years and will be managed by Torbay & South Devon NHS Foundation Trust’s Special Care Dental Service.
We are now two weeks into the programme and enjoying cleaning our teeth together.
End of term play
This year we shared with our families one of our favourite books Handa's Surprise.
World Book Day 2019
As always we love World Book Day at Pre-School and this year we took the opportunity to dress up as pirates, read lots of pirate stories, walk the plank and sail the high seas in our pirate boat.
We held two transition meetings this afternoon and evening for those parents of children due to start school this coming September. Both sessions were well attended and we have already received some great feedback. We put on display some of the Early Phonics and Maths activities that we have been doing along with a display showing what happens at Forest School, something we take our older children on for four sessions each Summer. A small pack was made up for each child and their parents containing information around the transition process and Early Phonics and Maths with a few activities to share.
