We have had a lovely first week back at preschool, with our full focus having been on welcoming all of our children. We are really pleased with how well our new children are settling in and it’s been lovely to see how excited the remaining children are to be back with us once again. We are all looking forward to the year ahead!
One of our first jobs was to go out into our growing area and see what has been happening in the time we have been away, we had some lovely green beans and gourds ready to be picked.
We have enjoyed lots of free play this week to allow the children time to find their feet and to slowly introduce our routines to them. The children have made playdough creations, hosted lots of tea parties in the home corner and thoroughly enjoyed our outdoor construction resources.
For this half term we are going to be focusing on different occupations, with our first one being construction / builders next week.
