We’ve had a lovely first full week at preschool for the new school year and have been really pleased to see how quickly our new children have settled into our setting. It’s also been really lovely to see how excited the remaining children are to be back with us once again. We are all very much looking forward to the year ahead!
We have enjoyed lots of free play this week to allow the children time to find their feet and to slowly introduce our routines to them. The children have made playdough creations, hosted lots of tea parties in the home corner and thoroughly enjoyed our new Bluey Lego Duplo.
Whilst the weather hasn’t always been on our side, we have spent as much time as possible outside. The sand and water play have proved very popular as well as a firm favourite, the parachute!
Next week we will begin our first topic of the year which is countries. The children will be taking part in focused activities throughout the week relating to our first country, Italy.
