This week we enjoyed the story of Supertato and the children immersed themselves in our story by having to rescue the vegetables that had been frozen in the freezer. Using spoons, syringes and tweezers the children chipped away at the ice to rescue the peas, sweetcorn, carrots and broccoli. To continue with our topic we then had a vegetable tasting at our snack time; the children ate carrots, butternut squash and broccoli along with their crackers.
Our most popular activity this week was Thursday’s gloop session where we mixed together cornflour, conditioner and shaving foam to make our own “snow”.
In other areas of preschool we have continued making winter collages, created playdough pizzas, spent lots of time outside on the bikes and trikes and built towers on our lightbox in the black out tent.
We continue to work hard learning our Christmas songs ready for the play in a few weeks time, we are going to be going on an Elf hunt!
