Autumn Activities week 12

The first week of December has been great fun at preschool. We were fortunate to have a Christmas tree donated to us by B&Q and the children did a fantastic job of decorating it! The children practiced their fine motor skills by threading the cotton through the baubles before being let loose to decorate with beads, tinsel and baubles.

We’ve been taking the children upstairs to spend time on the stage and familiarise themselves with the hall ready for our play next Wednesday. The rehearsals have been going very well and we can’t wait to show you the end result of all the children’s hard work.

We have been enjoying various Christmas themed activities on our tuff tray. Early in the week we fed the reindeer by spooning oats into the reindeer’s mouth. In the mid part of the week we were building winter scenes using frozen gloop in ice cubes. Finally we have been creating santa’s beard using balls of playdough.
