It's been another busy week here at preschool, with the highlight most definitely being our sports day. It was a very hot day and the children coped extremely well doing all of their races. Thank you to all those parents who made cake and scone donations, we were incredibly grateful.
With the hot weather returning we have been playing outside for the first part of the morning before moving inside to do some quieter, calmer activities such as knock and nail, elastic ring games and arts and crafts. On Friday we dug out our potato crop for this year, the children collected them in our bowl and we will be cooking them up early next week. The sunflowers continue to grow well and we will be sending them home next week for you, hopefully for them to flower for you!
We have now turned our focus to our end of year play which is taking place next Tuesday. The children have been finishing off their costumes and helping create the final props. We have been going upstairs to practice our songs on the stage and act out the story. We're looking forward to showing you all of the children's hard work!
