The Hungry Caterpillar was our focus for this week and throughout the week we have been telling the story in a variety of ways. Using story bags and large props the children have enjoyed re-telling the story and learning about a cocoon.
For our craft the children have been making caterpillars on a leaf, using paper curling techniques they have created a fantastic wall display in our playroom to go alongside our ladybirds.
We have been excited to see some of our sunflower seeds starting to germinate and to continue our learning we have been creating sunflower pictures, looking into the different shades we hope our sunflowers will display.
This week in our garden we created an outdoor music area with saucepans, lids and trays, using wooden spoons the children thoroughly enjoyed creating their own music!
