For the final week of this half term we celebrated Pancake Day! Whilst we know it was a week early we didn’t want to miss out on the occasion. The children measured out the ingredients, mixed them together with the electric whisk and then transferred the mixture into the frying pan using the ladle. We enjoyed the pancakes at snack times with fruit, honey and lemon juice.
The keyboard and xylophones were our final instruments of the week with Julia playing the keyboard for our singing times and the children joining in with the xylophones.
On our tuff tray we enjoyed pipette painting. We filled our paint points with different coloured water and challenged the children to transfer the liquid using only the pipettes. Once the pots were empty, the children then set about transferring the liquid off the tray and back into the pots again.
We also started making some coil clay pots using air drying clay, they are now drying and will be ready to paint after half term.
We hope everyone enjoys the half term break and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 23rd February.
